Elliott Blakeley – Senior Mechanical Project Manager

Elliott is an integral part of the success and growth of Hawley Building Services. He was the first Mechanical PM employed by the business and has grown and developed to now become a Senior Manager. Elliott has a fantastic ability to listen and understand client needs and possesses the difficult skill of being able to explain complex engineering solutions to those that do not have the same technical background. This skill set has helped develop trust and confidence with our clients.

Elliott undertakes a diverse list of tasks. This list can include anything from budget forecasting, programming, labour management, Health & safety, Client relationship management and most importantly organising the sandwich butty run!

Elliot is a time-served Heating & Ventilation engineer with 15-years’ experience in the installation of mechanical & electrical services. He attended Leeds College of Building where he won an Apprentice of the Year award and a national competition.

Elliott says, “I particularly enjoy the versatility of the industry, as there are so many elements to the building services scope. Over the years, this has permitted constant learning and a varied workload and has contributed to my passion for building services engineering.”

His skills are varied “I enjoy the evolution of installation processes and being involved from design to handover. I have a keen eye for quality and take pride in the finished MEP product; minor details that most people don’t observe. I have also learned to enjoy the balance of managing budgets and meeting customer expectations. This is a fine art!”

Outside work, as well as enjoying time with his family and friends, Elliott is a keen health club member. His hobbies include skiing, cycling, rock climbing and watching football and motocross racing.
